Account Deletion

Effective date: July 8, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Rankzilla account, what happens to your business data and connected accounts, and how long deletion takes. Deleting your account is your right, and we have designed the process to be straightforward.

Deleting an Account

To delete your account:

  1. Sign in to your Rankzilla dashboard.
  2. Open Settings, then Account.
  3. Select Delete Account and confirm your decision.

If you cannot access your account, contact us through our website contact page using the email address registered to the account and request deletion. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

Subscription Cancellation

Deleting your account also cancels your subscription and stops all future charges. Deletion does not automatically generate a refund for the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, so if you believe a refund applies to you, contact support before or shortly after deleting your account.

If you only want to stop paying but keep your data for later, cancel your subscription instead of deleting the account. Cancellation and deletion are separate actions.

Google Account Connections

When your account is deleted, Rankzilla revokes its own access tokens for your connected Google Business Profile. Your Google Business Profile itself is not affected: your listing, reviews, photos, and any replies or posts already published remain live on Google, because they belong to your Google account, not to Rankzilla.

You can also remove Rankzilla's access yourself at any time from your Google account permissions page. The same applies to any social media accounts you connected for automated publishing: disconnecting or deleting your Rankzilla account removes our access, but content already published stays on those platforms unless you remove it there.

Deleting Business Data

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove a business. You can remove an individual business profile from your dashboard, which deletes its audits, recommendations, keyword analyses, competitor insights, drafted review replies, and scheduled posts from your workspace.

Recovery Period

After you confirm deletion, your account enters a 30-day recovery period. During this time the account is deactivated and invisible, but it can be restored if you sign in and follow the recovery prompt, or contact support. After 30 days, deletion becomes permanent and the account cannot be recovered.

What Gets Deleted

Once the recovery period ends, we permanently delete:

  • Your account profile and login credentials.
  • Business information stored in your workspace.
  • Google Business Profile data we imported for analysis, including cached reviews and profile details.
  • AI-generated content stored in your account, such as audits, SEO recommendations, keyword reports, competitor insights, review reply drafts, and unpublished social media posts.
  • Publishing schedules and social media account connections.

What May Be Retained

Some limited data is retained after deletion where we have a legal or operational need:

  • Invoices and payment records, kept to meet tax and accounting requirements.
  • Records of support conversations, kept for a limited period for dispute resolution.
  • Anonymized usage statistics that no longer identify you or your business.
  • Backup copies, which are overwritten on a rolling schedule within 90 days of deletion.

Retention periods and the legal grounds for retention are described in our Privacy Policy.

Support Contact

If you have questions about deletion, need help recovering an account within the 30-day window, or want confirmation that deletion is complete, contact us through the support section of your dashboard or our website contact page. We aim to respond within 2 business days.
